Volumetric visualisation

Volumetric data is nowadays available for many scientific and engineering fields, such as medicine, astronomy, geodesy, geology, meteorology etc. As part of our research we are mostly addressing visualization of medical volumetric data. Our goal is to achieve real-time rendering of such data on most accessible platform - web. As part of our research we have developed standalone visualization tool in Java - Neck Veins, currently we are working on Med3D web based framework. We have also performed an evaluation of using different visualization techniques of angiography visualization for better and easier diagnosis.

Med3D

Med 3D is a free open-source 3D medical data visualisation application with support for displaying 3D mesh models (in form of OBJ files) as well as 3D volumetric data - such as CT and MRI scans (in form of MHR files).

Application also offers 3D stereoscopic display of data suitable for displays with option of interlaced stereo view.
