We are developing smart video streaming technologies that can eliminate errors, improve quality, upscaling, and/or reduce the bit rate of a video signal in real-time. Our work exploits the inherent nature of the human visual system where higher acutance images convey a sharper appearance and allows video content providers to reduce the cost of streaming by up to 50%. while streaming higher video quality. Our methods are designed as a preprocessing stage and work inside video transcoding pipelines. It is therefore easy to integrate into legacy systems as well as compatible with every codec on the market: AV1, VP9, H.264, H.265, MPEG2.
