We developed an interesting, interactive web application that shows Slovenian dialects on a map, displays their characteristics and analysis, and the users can also listen to their sound recordings. The Slovene language has 56 dialects, grouped into 7 dialect groups. Although the literature in printed form on Slovene dialects is quite extensive, this online application is the first of this kind for Slovenian dialects. An administrative part was also created to allow the addition of more examples.
The front end was developed using web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Google Maps and the AngularJS framework, while PHP language and MySQL database were used for the back end. The data was provided by the Faculty of Arts.
